I guess the company is has some growing pains or something but their email support is so-so. Set up was good and the service works, but need to call in to customer service to get something done that all. be prepared to spend some time on this one

I recently purchased a Tracfone Motorola V170 Tracfone. My Tracfone is the SINGLE RATE (GSM) model, which means that I pay no double rate "roaming charges". No monthly cell phone bills !! I purchased a "double minute" YEARLY plan that had 300 minutes of talk time in January , and now have Tracfone Cellphone Service that doesn't have to be renewed until March 2007 !!! 14 months of cell phone usage without any need to pay those monthly $35/60 bills that most people who use cell phones think they have to pay. Only thing I have to remember to do is buy more minutes in 14 months to extend my plan and carry over the balance of unused minutes- that are conveniently shown on the Motorola Tracfone screen. My Tracfone is packed with features, like caller ID, a telephone directory that holds 250 numbers, 300 hours of standby time before the cellphone even has to be recharged, text messaging capability, free voice mail that took 3 minutes to set up by simply pushing a button on the cellphone. Voice mail can also be accessed by a landline, so as not to waste cellphone unit/minutes checking your voice mail messages. The phone is LOADED with lots of additional features. Customer service was very professional when I called them to ask questions as a new user, and they walked me through the activation process when I made a mistake entering some activation codes. In addition to the 300 minutes that came with my yearly double minute plan- you get DOUBLE MINUTES when you buy additional minutes- Tracfone gives ADDITIONAL starter minutes with 60 days of service, thus the reason I got 14 months of service for purchasing the 1 year plan. An additional 100 bonus minute code came inside the Motorola V170 package, bringing my minutes up to 410 minutes that can be used anytime in 14 months, with no monthly bills. And upon activation of my Tracfone I got another 100 minutes through the "Refer-A-Friend Promotion,.. ... bringing the minutes I could use up to 510 minutes that could be used anytime in 14 months !!! ____________________________________________________ That is 8 1/2 hours of talk time that I can use over a 14 month period, with no monthly bills !!!
